Book - Steps To Perfection An Islamic Curriculum For Children Grade 1

Comments

  • The Al-Kisa Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in the United States, specifically linked to SABA Islamic Center in San Jose, California. It focuses on “Islamic” education and creating resources to promote the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (the family of the Prophet Muhammad), indicating a Shi’a orientation.

Al-Kisa also collects khums, a practice tied to Shi’a religious obligations, further affirming its Shi’a affiliation.

Khums is divided into two equal parts:

    1. Sahm al-Imam (Share of the Imam) portion is reserved for the Imam of the time. In the absence of the Imam (during the occultation of the 12th Imam in Shi’a belief), it is given to qualified religious scholars (maraji’) to support community services. Which is either one of the “Ayatollahs” of their choice.

    2. Sahm al-Sadaat (Share for the Descendants of the Prophet), meaning it’s distributed to poor descendants of the Prophet Muhammad (the Sadaat).

I would appreciate it if such information was provided when the book is viewed. I’m not happy teaching Shia beliefs.
